About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Martha Jefferson House. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing, personal care, and assistance to residents
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from the dining area
  • Assist residents with toileting, changing, and bathroom privileges
  • Turn residents confined in bed and assist with bed-making
  • Assist with maintenance and storage of residents' clothing and belongings and cleanliness of the environment
  • Take and record residents' vital signs
  • Clean a variety of equipment
  • Carry out proper cleansing and PPE with care for residents
  • Empty soiled laundry bins and trash cans
  • Perform range of motion
  • Assist resident with feeding and monitor food and liquid intake for nutritional status
  • Inform charge nurse of changes in residents' condition
  • Provide post-mortem care
  • Document all care and notify nurse of any refusals of care or change in resident's condition
  • Perform other work as required
