We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Select and operate technical factors for diagnostic CT examinations, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations in a caring and respectful manner, prioritizing patient care activities.
- Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, maintaining a thorough understanding of CT scanner operations and safety protocols.
- Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment and devices.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exams, obtain informed consent, and complete required fields within our electronic medical record system.
- Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
- Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through in-service study, attending courses or seminars as necessary.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including radiologists.
- Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of tables and equipment, and keep rooms stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
- Vocational/Technical education in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (CT) certification.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
