Covenant Health is seeking a skilled RN Triage Clinic Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the intake/admission/triage process, ensuring seamless communication between patients, providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Answer all calls and triage patients as needed, utilizing approved protocols and documentation from medical records.
- Receive and process faxed information, and communicate changes to staff as necessary.
- Document all calls and interventions in messaging systems or charts.
- Conduct initial telephone assessments of patients, discussing recommended actions with patients/patient representatives.
- Communicate with office staff, providers, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Accurately use software to create and document clinical records, process, and retrieve information.
- Submit and follow up on necessary information for obtaining authorization of services.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
- Minimum of three years of medical office triage experience, with excellent customer service skills.
- Valid Tennessee Nursing license.
