Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shift Leader to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing store operations, leading a team of customer service employees, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage store operations, including opening and closing the store, and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts
  • Lead and develop a team of customer service employees, providing training, feedback, and development opportunities
  • Partner with department management to prioritize and delegate tasks, ensuring efficient Front End/customer checkout operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a champion for our values and standards
  • React quickly to situations that arise, partnering with store leadership to problem solve operational challenges
Requirements
  • 1 or more years of work experience, preferably in customer service, or a college degree
  • Computer skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and handle interruptions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading a team
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and subject matters
