Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to enhance plant performance in safety, production, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to operational and mechanical teams.
- Analyze data and recommend solutions based on industry best practices.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to address challenges and implement effective strategies.
- Engage in the specification and design of new rotating equipment in alignment with industry standards.
- Conduct quality control and design reviews for projects involving rotating machinery.
- Monitor and assess the performance of rotating equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Support plant operations during critical phases such as startups and shutdowns.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in rotating equipment roles within a petrochemical environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards for equipment procurement and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Turnaround activities, including planning and execution.
- Knowledge of compressors and steam turbines, along with their control systems.
- Background in machinery related to polyethylene production.
Work Environment:
This role primarily involves office work, with occasional visits to shop floors. The position requires a commitment to adhering to strict industry regulations and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform tasks that involve significant computer and telephone work. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
