Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant - Surgical Tech LPN or RN to join our team at Forefront Dermatology in DePere, WI. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatologists in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities- Room patients and document vital information
- Scribe information for the dermatologist
- Provide post-op wound care to patients
- Draw blood and remove sutures
- Clean and stock exam rooms
- Schedule patient appointments
You will assist the dermatologist with various procedures, including:
- Surgical photographs
- Biopsies - punch, DIF and shave
- Excisions
- Electrodessication and curettage
- I&D
- Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
- Phototherapy
- Injections
- Koh preps
- Trichograms
- Tzank preps
- Dermabrasion
- Patch testing
- Blue light
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
- Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
- Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
- Must possess organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
