About the Role

The Catering Captain is a key member of our team at Oak View Group, responsible for overseeing and assisting with the serving of guests in our premium spaces. This role requires a personable and detail-oriented individual who can work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist in serving meals and beverages to guests
  • Supervise and assist in setting up of catering spaces prior to events
  • Responsible for full knowledge of the food and beverage menu and sharing knowledge with staff and guests
  • Assist in recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen
  • Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests
  • Report any equipment issues to the Catering Manager
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Assist in cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after events
  • Responsible for evaluating catering spaces after each event for proper cleanliness and inventory levels
  • Assist with administrative duties, including monthly inventory
Requirements
  • Ability to supervise the work of others
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, and guests
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions
Preferred Qualifications

Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment
