We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team as a Nutrition Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing initial and ongoing nutritional assessments, monitoring, and education of patients/caregivers on home enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized nutrition plans.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Assist with reimbursement issues and maintain relationships with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Liaison and Marketing teams to support nutrition therapy marketing efforts.
- Maintain continuing education requirements and clinical skills to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Identify and report any issues that require corrective action.
- Work collaboratively with the Enteral and Pharmacy Departments to support operations.
Requirements:
- Registered member of the American Dietetic Association
- RD license
- Valid MD Driver's license
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Home Health experience preferred
- Excellent clinical skills
- In-depth knowledge of reimbursement criteria
- Ensure CE credits are maintained
- Proficient in computer applications, including Office 365, EMRs, and mobile device applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and reporting skills
