Medical-Surgical Nurse Specialist

Talent Software Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Wound Care and IV Management: Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed, maintaining asepsis and infection control protocols.
- Equipment Management: Adjust and maintain specialized medical equipment, interpreting and recording measurements as required.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, reporting any adverse reactions or concerns to the healthcare team in a timely manner.
- Discharge Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
- Patient Education: Provide clear and concise information to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files, medical charts, and health records, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Certification: Certified MS-RN preferred.
- Licensure: State-approved nursing licensure.
- Experience: At least two years' experience as a medical-surgical nurse in a similar facility.
- Skills: Extensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions, in-depth knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing, and exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Availability: Availability to work shifts that rotate between days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
