Job Title: Instructor

At Snapology LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality STEM education programs to children aged 2-14.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead groups of students through curriculum-guided activities, promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom, establishing and enforcing rules and procedures to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students, using the information to adjust teaching strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, and participating in face-to-face training sessions, ensuring a high level of knowledge and expertise.
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Encourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programs, promoting our services and building relationships with the community.
  • Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in STEM education.
Qualifications:
  • Criminal and child clearances must be current.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
  • Education degree or teaching experience recommended, with a focus on STEM education.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Programs:
  • Weekday after-school and/or evening classes.
  • Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties.
  • Summer camps.
  • Special events, holiday, and break workshops.

This is a part-time position, with a typical work schedule of 6-10 hours per week. Compensation is $35.00 per hour.
