Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Program Coordinator to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our Safehavens program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement recovery-oriented principles in daily operations
  • Supervise and evaluate program staff, ensuring required competencies are maintained
  • Provide oversight of clinical operations, including behavioral and rehabilitative treatment planning
  • Develop and maintain person-centered and strength-based relationships with individuals
  • Communicate effectively with staff, peers, and other professionals
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including BSAS, HUD, DPH, and DMH
  • Lead and participate in administrative on-call rotations
  • Identify and address problem areas, coordinating work for upkeep of the site
  • Collaborate with individuals and staff to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Plan and implement healthful menu planning, cost-effective food shopping, and meal preparation
  • Provide transportation to individuals as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current and valid United States driver's license and ability to provide a registered, inspected, and insured automobile for work-related purposes
  • Ability to pass a CORI background check and DCF/CPS background check (for RRS Programs)
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to move about the space periodically during the shift, hear and understand speech and/or other sounds, see accurately both near and far, and maintain a clean and safe living environment.

Specialty Responsibilities
  • Act as administrative site manager during absence
  • Ensure operational budget for the program is reconciled
  • Facilitate transitions for referrals, admissions, and discharges
  • Collaborate with the assigned LPHA to plan, implement, and continuously evaluate rehabilitative and support services
  • Serve as liaison among departments and agencies to facilitate a continuum of care
  • Monitor individuals' medications, refills, and documentation
