Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our team at Grask Truck Group of Kansas. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing service and repair on heavy-duty trucks covering all makes and models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles, including inspections and diagnostic tests.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Maintain cost efficiency by using warranty, evaluating service & parts options.
  • Maintain vehicle records with accurate documentation of service and repairs.
  • Complete engine overhauls and other repairs identified during the diagnostic process.
  • Read schematics for electrical and air systems.
  • Use good judgment to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Apply knowledge and work in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other rules and regulations as required.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and be insurable. CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must have own toolbox and tools.
  • Steel toe shoes or boots needed. $250 allowance offered after initial 90-day training and evaluation period.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Certifications from OEM's in the trucking industry a plus.
  • Preferred- 2 years of tech school and 2 years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair or 3-5 years of actual truck or heavy equipment repair experience.
