We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Housekeeper to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, nursing stations, and other areas of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, and other assigned areas, adhering to standard procedures and facility standards.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of surfaces, furniture, and equipment, using prescribed methods and cleaning solutions.
- Restock paper and soap supplies, and replenish cleaning solutions as needed.
- Assist in the transportation of soiled linen to collection points.
- Measure and mix cleaning solutions as required.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the facilities team.
- Assist in evacuating patients in case of a fire or other internal disaster.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.
