We're excited to welcome a motivated Store Support Specialist to our team at Michaels Stores As a valued member of our store team, you'll contribute to delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized store environment, providing outstanding customer service, and working collaboratively with our team to achieve business objectives.

  • Collect and dispose of trash according to company procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors regularly.
  • Move equipment and products for cleaning and restock them properly.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean high-traffic areas, including bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways, to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • You'll maintain cleaning equipment in good order and notify your supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
  • Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
  • Follow all instructions provided by your supervisor.
  • Conduct tasks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Interact positively and respectfully with colleagues and customers, even in challenging situations.
  • Represent our brand positively and set a good example for fellow team members.
Other Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service during checkout and adhere to cash handling standards.
  • Foster customer engagement on our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and process enrollments.
  • Support Omnichannel initiatives, including BOPIS and SFS.
  • Participate in inventory management, including unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and implementing planograms.
  • Aid in shrink reduction and safety efforts.
  • Comply with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

As a full-time or part-time employee, you can expect an estimated hourly wage of around $14.25, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Previous experience in retail and/or cleaning is preferred but not required.
