Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for directing the patient care activities during your assigned shift and providing care to adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document patients and their treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients' families.
  • Supervise all categories of nursing personnel, including LVNs/LPTs, MHWs/CNAs, etc.
  • Follow nursing standards of care, policies, and procedures to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of psychiatry/mental health experience required.
  • One year of working with geriatric populations required.
  • Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
