Job Description

HUMMINGBIRD ABA THERAPY is seeking a skilled ABA Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary:

An ABA Therapist provides one-to-one behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying disability, typically autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides face-to-face behavioral interventions and implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP).
  • Provides support to parents, teachers, and community individuals as described in ITP.
  • Delivers and models treatment interventions and consequences for inappropriate actions as agreed upon.
  • Provides positive reinforcement to the clients and families.
  • Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.
  • Adheres to professional boundaries with all clients and families.
  • Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.
  • Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines and state regulatory standards.
  • May provide IBHS Supervision to BHTs working with shared clients.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience providing ABA services and a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education or related field and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA.
  • Must have qualifications for licensure as a behavior specialist except the experience requirements (Masters degree and training completed).
  • Must have active certification as a BCaBA through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.

Travel:

  • This position requires travel up to 30% of the time with clients being no more than 1 hour from staff's home, unless specifically agreed upon.
