Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Transition Readiness Coordinator to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our workforce development team, you will play a critical role in helping job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess graduates' placement readiness and provide appropriate referrals and accompanying support services in accordance with DOL, Center, and ResCare requirements.
  • Ensure timely placement and retention of assigned graduates and former enrollees in quality jobs, the military, or further education and training opportunities.
  • Promote job development through direct contact with employers, One-Stops, and State Employment Agencies.
  • Establish a high degree of student/coordinator rapport and maintain a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to ensure maximum student motivation.
  • Utilize all possible curriculum resources available to include resume preparation, interviewing skills, placement search strategies, and networking.
  • Present lessons regularly utilizing a variety of multimodal approaches to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn in their preferred style of learning.
  • Assist in the completion of all necessary Job Corps forms and prepare reports such as student/staff hours, requisitions, attendance, and monthly student evaluations.
  • Maintain placement plans for each graduate and complete training workshops as required.
  • Verify placements with students and employers and pass information to the appropriate Career Transition agency.
  • Operate in accordance with the requirements of the PRH, Standard Operating Procedures in function area and corporate policies.
  • Evaluate and record student progress/evaluations and case notes in CIS, where appropriate.
  • Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate Career Success Standards and employability skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse youth.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record to transport students when needed.
