Job Description and Duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical social work services to veterans and their families
  • Assess and address the mental health and social needs of veterans
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote the well-being of veterans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to veterans and their families on available benefits and resources

Working Conditions:

Employees of CalVet will be required to follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements enacted in accordance with infectious disease prevention and control.

Special Requirements:

  • The position requires completion of educational courses as specified in the Class Specification.
  • The position requires a Licensed Clinical Social Worker License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.
