Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to delve into the financial services industry, providing insights and supporting strategic decisions through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to provide insights on industry trends and competitor analysis.
  3. Help in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with the investment committee to evaluate investment opportunities and portfolio performance.
  5. Participate in special projects and perform ad-hoc analyses as required by the FP&A team.
Requirements

Education

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  1. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail required.
  2. Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, time value of money, capital budgeting, financial modeling and forecasting required.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (match, index, vlookup, sumif, etc.) required; experience with programming (Visual Basic, R, Python, Stata, etc.) preferrable.
  4. Must have familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  6. Must have a strong service orientation in alignment with the credit union's mission and core values.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment required.
