Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our Ford auto parts department as a Counter Assistant. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with parts inventory management, and supporting the overall operations of the parts department.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Identify customer needs and provide accurate information about parts and accessories.
  • Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Stock shelves and organize parts effectively.
  • Assist with receiving and processing incoming parts shipments.
  • Locate and retrieve parts for customers and technicians.
  • Process customer orders, including special orders and backorders.
  • Verify part numbers and pricing information.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to expedite orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry or parts department preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
