Overview:


Bowhead is seeking a Flight Training Standards Coordinator to enhance the operational effectiveness of Air Education and Training Command flight training units.


Key Responsibilities:
This role is primarily focused on supporting non-flying additional duty roles typically occupied by rated aircrew personnel.

Core Duties Include:

  • Ensure proper management and oversight of flight testing resources.
  • Revise and maintain data within PEX, future equivalent systems, and custom-developed database solutions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) staff to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or its future equivalents as needed.
  • Work alongside the training officer to assess and refresh student and permanent party documentation, records, and grading systems in accordance with relevant AFIs and associated guidelines.
  • Inform aircrew members, scheduling teams, and unit leadership about impending and overdue evaluations, testing, and training obligations through various communication methods.
  • Generate necessary reports and documentation, including:
  • Evaluation and testing status reports and trend analysis.
  • Provide data to the Operations Group for the standardization evaluation board's semi-annual report.
  • AF Form 8, Qualification of Aircrew Qualification.
  • Execute testing administration responsibilities for the unit.
  • Conduct monthly assessments of aircrews entering their evaluation eligibility period.
  • Interpret AFIs and offer guidance to personnel assigned to Stan/Eval teams to assist in monitoring training and readiness levels of squadron members.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Fighter Squadron/Group/Wing Stan/Eval office or five years in a DoD Flying Squadron/Group/Wing Stan/Eval environment.
  • At least two years of experience with PEX or comparable proprietary Stan/Eval systems.

Security Clearance Requirements:
Must possess a current Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is mandatory for obtaining a Secret clearance in this role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to twist, bend, and squat as needed.
