Job Summary

We are a rapidly growing company in the Central Valley focused on food and produce, seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team. Our state-of-the-art facility enables us to provide high-quality products to our market segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain all company accounting records.
  • Design, implement, and monitor the annual corporate plan.
  • Develop short- and long-range financial objectives.
  • Develop and recommend budgets, authorize expenditures in accordance with budgets, and approve expenses of staff.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll, sales, AP/AR, and tax requirements and returns.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements and meet all State and Federal reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Execute day-to-day corporate accounting responsibilities and duties.
  • Produce financial status reports for senior managers to help improve operational efficiency and aid in continued rapid growth.
  • Assist with contract negotiations.
  • Work with external accountants and auditors and provide needed information for audits.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Superior numeric skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and other relevant software.
  • Proficiency in GAAP and other financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing business environment.
