Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Solutions: Design and develop business, application, data, and infrastructure solutions using Java, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, Oracle Database, and Angular.
  • Optimize Performance: Optimize performance, maintain, and troubleshoot application components as required.
  • Ensure Non-Functional Requirements: Ensure solutions meet Non-Functional Requirements such as scalability, reliability, availability, observability, and fault tolerance.
  • Adhere to Methodology: Adhere to Delta's methodology, standards, and procedures throughout development.
  • Write Code: Write front-end and back-end code, following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Develop CI/CD Pipelines: Develop CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment scripts.
  • Configure Services: Configure services such as databases and monitoring tools.
  • Provide On-Call Support: Provide on-call production support for issues from development to production.
  • Prototype and Demonstrate: Prototype and demonstrate new features to users, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with technical teams, business units, and product managers to align development with business goals.
  • Ensure Security and Compliance: Ensure solutions align with security and compliance frameworks.
  • Implement SRE Practices: Implement Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or in a related technical role.
  • Proficiency in Technologies: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, Oracle Database (table design, queries, optimization), and Angular.
  • Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • DevOps Principles: Demonstrated experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
  • Cloud Engineering: Experience engineering software within Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other enterprise cloud providers.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: In-depth understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Application Security: Basic knowledge of Application Security principles and 12-factor application development.
  • Source Control and Build Tools: Experience with source control and build tools such as GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Airline Technology: Experience working in an airline technology environment.
