Frontline empowers customers to monitor wildfire activity, receive crucial alerts, and navigate safely during wildfire events while protecting their properties with our innovative Frontline Wildfire Defense System.

Our defense system hydrates the materials of a home and its surroundings to prevent ignition from flying embers, which is the leading cause of structural loss during wildfires.

As a growing team in the early stages of development, we have already reached significant milestones in protecting homes and generating revenue through successful installations across various regions.


Opportunity Overview

Hydration is fundamental to our protection strategy, and the mechanical systems that interface with our cloud architecture to distribute water effectively are vital to our product's success.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance the performance and reliability of our controller and water distribution systems, providing detailed technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with operations and partners, ensuring the technical support and resources necessary for successful system installations.
  • Lead product development for new offerings in our protection systems portfolio, including hydraulic systems, electronic controllers, sensors, and communication devices.
  • Conduct research, testing, and validation of improved components and design concepts.

You should be organized, passionate about making a significant impact in a mission-driven company, and resourceful enough to thrive in a dynamic environment.


Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design or a related engineering role, with some leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience in consumer electronics design is a plus, particularly with hydraulic or fluid systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and modify construction blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to take on various tasks in a startup setting.
