Position Overview:

The selected individual will work under direct supervision, engaging in a range of skilled trades activities that involve the upkeep, repair, or construction of state facilities and associated structures.

This role encompasses the installation and maintenance of security systems, climate control mechanisms, and other facility-related systems, alongside the operation of plant machinery and building automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing trade-specific tools and equipment
  • Performing tasks related to painting, carpentry, and roofing
  • Carrying out general maintenance and repair duties on facilities and equipment
  • Implementing routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and facility maintenance
  • Fixing and maintaining plumbing fixtures, lighting systems, air vents, HVAC units, and other facility components
  • Complying with safety protocols and regulations consistently
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in building maintenance and repairs or a related field
