We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Rad Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
About the JobThis is a travel job opportunity in Tacoma, Washington, with a duration of 13 weeks and 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate must have 1 year of experience as a Rad Tech and possess excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for preparing patients for radiologic testing, operating diagnostic imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate images are obtained.
Key Responsibilities:- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment accordingly
- Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and maintain accurate patient records
You will also be responsible for performing tasks such as calibrating imaging equipment, preparing results for physician review, and understanding and using the McKesson PACS system.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must have BLS certification, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required. Additionally, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
