Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of Fire Alarm Systems: Install fire alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
  • System Installation and Testing: Install fire alarm systems and associated devices per drawings and ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers on the functionality of their fire alarm system.
  • Professional Communication: Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
  • Continuous Learning: Open-minded willingness to continue learning and improving skills.
  • Company Policies: Follow all Koorsen Fire & Security Inc. policies, procedures, and core values.
Requirements
  • Electrical Experience: Up to 1 year of electrical experience.
  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Testing Devices: Experience with electronic testing devices.
  • Certifications and Background Checks: Pass drug and background screenings and meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturer Certifications: Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • IT Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT functionality.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Abilities: Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
  • Cell Phone Use: Must be able to effectively use a cell phone and cell phone apps.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. push and pull greater than 75 lbs.
  • Climbing and Lifting: Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.
