Job Title: Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Alarm Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Alarm Technician to join our team at International Fire Protection. As a key member of our Fire Alarm division, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm and low voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test fire alarm and low voltage systems to ensure they meet industry standards and codes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, electrical contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and address any issues or defects in installed systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
  • Document all work and inspections in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in fire alarm inspection, installation, and/or service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and local applicable codes.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. or more and work at heights.
  • NICET II certification or the ability to become NICET II certified within 2 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
