Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform precision assembly and test operations on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical valves, actuators, and systems requiring a high degree of technical skill and expertise.
  • Assembly activity utilizes a variety of mechanical measuring equipment, such as dial indicators, calipers, and precision micrometers, to obtain proper build requirements.
  • Test activity requires foresight and considerable judgment in determining problem areas, utilizing test equipment to a more complex degree.
  • Set up hydraulic fixturing and electronic measuring equipment, utilizing auxiliary monitoring devices, such as transducers, strain gages, high-temperature thermocouples, flow meters, cameras, and other specialized tools.
  • Perform prototyping or pre-production testing on new units, as required.
  • Work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and oral.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to diagnose and propose necessary rework on models that are intricate in structure and design.
  • Clean components to required cleanliness levels, maintaining traceability records, MDC forms, and configuration records on controlled programs.
  • Work on repair units normally run with production units.
  • Contribute to the teamwork environment in terms of productivity, initiative, cooperation, data collection, and attitude.
  • May be required to travel to customer facilities and service Moog hardware.

Salary Range Transparency:

Chatsworth, CA $31.25-$39.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
