Day Shift - Monday to Friday.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure web server software (e.g., Apache, Nginx, IIS) along with associated components.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly update and patch web servers to maintain security and optimal performance.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Oversee server performance and troubleshoot issues to guarantee high availability and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and potential issues.
  • Security Management: Implement and uphold security measures to safeguard web servers from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of server failure.
  • Documentation: Keep precise documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaboration: Work in close partnership with development and IT teams to facilitate web application deployments and ensure seamless operation.
  • User Support: Provide assistance to users and developers regarding web server-related issues and inquiries.
  • Support Ticket Management: Efficiently manage and resolve support tickets, ensuring user satisfaction.

Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with users and stakeholders, addressing their concerns, and providing solutions.

  • Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts to enhance server management tasks.
  • Compliance: Ensure that web server operations align with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) standards and guidelines.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED with 19 years of experience, OR
Bachelor's Degree with 14 years of experience.
***IAT Level 2 Certification required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat System Administrator (RHSA), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices.
