This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, offering college credit along with a stipend of $1,500 upon successful completion of the semester.
- Collaborate with a Prevention staff member to observe the intake and assessment procedures.
- Assist in the preparation for group facilitation sessions.
- Participate in group facilitation using evidence-based curricula.
- Acquire skills to effectively engage with students.
- Learn de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
- Understand the documentation process for program activities.
- Gather outcomes and assist in data collection for evaluation purposes.
- Utilize collaboration and communication skills to foster professional relationships.
- Adhere to all ethical standards and codes of conduct related to client interactions and confidentiality.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and IMPOWER Policies & Procedures regarding client information confidentiality.
- Familiarize yourself with state-mandated abuse and neglect reporting procedures.
- Learn how to submit Incident Reports for significant events as per IMPOWER Policies & Procedures.
- Complete timesheets accurately and on time.
- Currently enrolled in an associate's program with an internship requirement in a Human Services-related field.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program with an internship requirement in a Human Services-related field.
- Currently enrolled in a master's program with an internship requirement in a Human Services-related field.
- Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance, with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a Florida public school badge.
- Must pass a multi-panel drug screening.
