Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned electrical engineer with a strong background in power systems, electrical design, and project management. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead and supervisor for a team of 2-4 individuals, overseeing project discipline and ensuring timely completion of electrical design documents and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee electrical design documents and drawings
  • Analyze and approve the work of team members
  • Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMI's process equipment and instrumentation
  • Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and make presentations
  • Perform electrical calculations, including voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arch flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding
  • Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs
  • Travel to client project sites for field walk downs and as-built efforts
  • Monitor allocated resources to ensure project estimates are met
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas, or other industrial process industries
  • Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics, and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc.
  • Working knowledge of technical codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, or other design software
  • Ability to work in the office 3-5 days per week
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited college
  • PE License required
  • US Citizenship required for client projects
