Support Foster Families as a Child Welfare Specialist

At FosterHope Sacramento, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of foster children and families. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of vulnerable youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with county and state agencies, school personnel, clients and their relatives, Resource Parents, and the community.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to children, youth, and families.
  • Review and assess critical incidents, submit reports, and track placements.
  • Assist with placement transitions, ensuring smooth processes and family compliance.
  • Engage and train resource families on best practices and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of foster care regulations and interim licensing standards.
  • Valid California Driver's license and required registrations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with children and youth with complex needs.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $68,000 and comprehensive benefits, including a generous time-off program.
