Job Description

The YMCA OF SUPERIOR CALIFORNIA is seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children and their families, promoting healthy development and a love of learning.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement curriculum that meets the unique needs of infants, incorporating play-based learning and hands-on activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and shared goals.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of children's progress, tracking milestones and identifying areas for support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in early childhood education, applying new knowledge and skills to improve program quality.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in infants.
  • Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Complete paperwork and maintain accurate records of children's progress, as required.

Salary Range: $18-$19 per hour
