Job Description:

As a Maintenance Planner Scheduler at AAK USA Incorporated, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct weekly planning meetings with production supervisors and planners to establish asset availability for intervention, work order priorities, and review recommended planned maintenance actions for the upcoming week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate job tasks associated with PM and PDM procedures for manufacturing equipment and enter them into our CMMS system, updating as needed.
  • Develop long-range and short-range planning, including regular analysis of backlog and open work orders (PM, PdM, corrective, and project).
  • Screen initial job orders, receive all requests for maintenance work except those to be completed on the same day, and screen the work order for proper format.
  • Analyze job requirements, assess best methods for accomplishing the task through conference with the requester, operations team, engineering, and the maintenance supervisor.
  • Research job requirements, review equipment history, review previously completed similar jobs, and identify safe work practices required.
  • Create detailed job plans, sequences of events, and task dependencies.
  • Determine resource requirements, including crew size and hours, prepare a bill of materials, and procure necessary materials and tools.
  • Prepare job detailed work orders, detailed job plans, labor deployment by craft and skills with man-hour estimates, shutdown requirements, and bill of materials for the job.
  • Submit job preparation packages to the maintenance lead or manager for scheduling with production and review the job package with the supervisor to ensure clarity of execution strategy and vision.
  • Review schedule compliance with the maintenance manager daily and review work order closeout information, including man-hours charged, materials used, and comments noted.
  • Arrange and coordinate the use of outside contract resources to support planned maintenance shutdowns and calculate actual versus schedule labor efficiency for completed work.
  • Provide planning for major and minor system shutdowns and work with the maintenance/reliability manager in developing maintenance procedures for new equipment and/or systems.
  • Prepare scope definitions and estimates for production improvement projects and develop long-term solutions to recurring asset problems.
  • Own the Site CMMS system, coordinate updates and training as required, and support the management of MRO inventory.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years' experience in chemical, food, pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
  • 5-10 years' experience in inventory control and management
  • 5-10 years of maintenance planning experience with large rotating equipment
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical/chemical plant equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, technical catalogs, and governmental regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, customers, vendors, and the general workforce
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply those concepts to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel software, and CMMS systems
  • CMRP Certification preferred
Salary:

$40.87/hour
