About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician to join our team in Hillside, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing environmental samples, preparing analytical standards, and maintaining laboratory documentation according to our standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of environmental samples using approved EPA and Standards Methods
  • Preparation of media and reagents
  • Data entry and maintenance of laboratory logbooks
  • Notification to the manager of any sample that appears highly contaminated or has other noticeable irregularities
Requirements:
  • Background in biology or other related science and/or environmental laboratory experience
  • Sample preparation and laboratory experience in the chemical analysis of drinking water is preferred, but not required
Preferred Skills:
  • Microbiology techniques
  • Flexibility and willingness to train
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Compensation:

The pay range for this role is USD per hour.
