Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist Level I to join our Imaging Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and examine orders for CT scans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient information and obtain necessary consents and education.
  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media.
  • Collate and label processed images, and transmit them to PACS.
  • Charge procedures and supplies in UChart/Radiant.
  • Provide patient care and education, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Assume care for physical and psychological needs of patients during scanning procedures.
  • Perform basic nursing functions, including assisting with bedpans and emesis basins.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and report unusual findings to radiologists or supervisory personnel.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a relevant field.
  • ARRT registration.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
