Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Outside Machinist Journeyman to join our team at Propulsion Controls Engineering LLC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in marine and/or shipyard settings, with a strong background in propulsion and auxiliary systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems, including steam, gas turbine, and diesel propulsion systems, rudders and steering gear, elevators, and deck equipment. They will also be capable of analyzing defects and adjusting or repairing electrical and mechanical systems, as well as testing equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems
  • Analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Testing of equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications
  • Ability to follow repair references and drawings
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment
