About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Propulsion Engineer to support our spacecraft design, integration, and environmental testing activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, improving, and running procedures to build ground support equipment and flight hardware. You will also be accountable for the integration and testing of propulsion systems, including thrusters and power processing units (PPUs), with our current satellite constellation.

Responsibilities
  • Test and implement modifications to propulsion system components to varying degrees of customization
  • Manage vendors and select the most suitable ones in accordance with company needs
  • Lead environment testing of all components of the propulsion system for optimal operation
  • Perform performance evaluation of the propulsion system for flight qualification
  • Support in-house production and testing of components, such as pressure feed systems, feed system design, thruster mounting plates, and thruster components
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with test equipment such as thermal air chambers, TVAC chambers, power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
  • HET assembly and testing experience in high vacuum operating environments
  • Experience with operation of electric propulsion thrusters such as HETs
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and make quality decisions without negative impact on others
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results
  • Experience with engineering documentation control, G-Suite, Jira, and resolving routine issues

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $100,000 - $142,700. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job-related experience, skills, and location.
