Manufacturing Associate

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Specialist to join our team at Midway Staffing. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our manufacturing processes by performing production activities that adhere to quality and productivity standards in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves painting various engines and fabricated components, prepping materials, using HVLP spray guns to apply marine and industrial coatings, and assembling engines into power units.

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE): Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards, report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard, comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations, use appropriate personal protective equipment, promote interdependence by looking out for one another, correct hazards within your control and capabilities, minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices, engage in HSE training.
• Quality: Follow all applicable standard work, process documentation, policies, and procedures, raise quality concerns to minimize costs and exposures, perform quality inspections to ensure product standards are met.
• Delivery: Execute role-specific activities in accordance with defined responsibilities, demonstrate high competency in core work skills, support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, processes, and employee development, maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks, apply operational excellence methodology, remain flexible and perform miscellaneous duties as required to meet manufacturing goals, collaborate with peers and all organizational levels to maintain process performance.
• Teamwork: Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams, complete training and personal development aligned with business requirements, actively participate in identifying improvements for quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in painting techniques, including prepping materials and using HVLP spray guns.
• Ability to assemble engines into power units.
• Strong adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Work Hours and Compensation
The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a competitive salary of $19 per hour.
