Federal Tax Director

As a Tax Director, you will work side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, having a direct impact on the firm's success. You will also be a mentor and coach to a group of talented staff, utilizing your expertise to help develop their technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities
As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for providing various federal tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients. This includes being a trusted member of the engagement team, providing tax business advisory services, consulting on technical matters, and researching various tax matters. You will also manage client engagement staffing, billings, and collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met. Additionally, you will utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business, and a CPA or JD. You will also need to have eight (8)+ years' experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm, and five (5)+ years' of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates. You will need to demonstrate management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. You will also need to have highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills, and eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
