As a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician/advanced practice provider. You will utilize your observational skills to observe nursing interventions and assist medical staff to ensure optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with the patient's established plan of care.
- Transcribe physician/advanced practice provider orders and administer specified medication appropriately and accurately.
- Execute treatments such as urinary catheterizations, placement of intravenous catheters, and suctioning procedures.
- Assist physician/advanced practice providers or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments.
- Document care in Health Connect per policy, procedures, guidelines, and protocols.
- Minimum Twelve (12) months or greater LVN direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support.
- IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.
