About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Product Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Interstates, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on data center products, including servers, networking equipment, power supplies, and control systems to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Inspecting, testing and documentation of the hardware and control programming for the products.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of controls programming, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and/or the Human Machine Interface (HMI).
  • Follow defined quality standards, procedures, and processes for testing.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot PC/PLC hardware, software, and customer networks.
  • Measure and troubleshoot 24VDC and 120VAC products. Reading and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics to assist with troubleshooting.
  • Test various control networks such as Ethernet, Modbus, and ProfiNet.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical school with an emphasis in Computer Studies or Instrumentation and Controls is helpful but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Desire to or Experience in programming in the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software (Startup) and experience in dealing with customers regarding system requirements is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirements

Travel will be limited and expect less than 10-15% as most activity will be in the production shop. Occasional travel to other production shops to assist with testing is expected. This may include travel to job sites to view or assist with commissioning activities.
