Somerset Hills YMCA is actively seeking a Rock Climbing Instructor for our facility. The Instructor will be responsible for the safe operation and management of our climbing wall, guiding youth participants in learning climbing techniques, and instilling confidence and self-esteem in climbers. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and support for all individuals on the wall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an engaging and positive experience for all participants through professional interaction.
  • Prepare and dismantle climbing equipment before and after sessions.
  • Punctually arrive and be ready to assist participants at the beginning of each climbing session.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A minimum of one year of belaying experience is required.
  • Dependability and a passion for working with children are essential.
  • Ability to embody the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Salary Description

$15.13 to $17.00 per hour
