PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Manage pre-registration and scheduling of moderately complex medical procedures while coordinating various resources for patient services.
  • Utilize established processes to identify patient medical records and ensure a seamless experience for all customer interactions by aligning caller needs with available organizational resources.
  • Effectively operate the Scheduler Program within the healthcare facility's computer system.
  • Address scheduling changes and cancellations promptly and accurately, both in written and verbal formats.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requests, ensuring accurate and relevant information is communicated to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the patient scheduling system to assist patients with inquiries regarding insurance billing, payment, and self-pay responsibilities.
  • Pre-register patient encounters by collecting necessary demographic and financial information for various departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare Scheduling, Customer Service, or Patient Access.
  • Must possess a customer-focused attitude.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare sector is mandatory.
  • This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule.
