PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Manage pre-registration and scheduling of moderately complex medical procedures while coordinating various resources for patient services.
- Utilize established processes to identify patient medical records and ensure a seamless experience for all customer interactions by aligning caller needs with available organizational resources.
- Effectively operate the Scheduler Program within the healthcare facility's computer system.
- Address scheduling changes and cancellations promptly and accurately, both in written and verbal formats.
- Evaluate and prioritize requests, ensuring accurate and relevant information is communicated to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the patient scheduling system to assist patients with inquiries regarding insurance billing, payment, and self-pay responsibilities.
- Pre-register patient encounters by collecting necessary demographic and financial information for various departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare Scheduling, Customer Service, or Patient Access.
- Must possess a customer-focused attitude.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Prior experience in the healthcare sector is mandatory.
- This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule.
