Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Operations Technician to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment and wastewater management facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control plant operations, including water treatment and wastewater management processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, including pumps, engines, and other mechanical systems.
  • Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including instruments and testing devices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance and repair plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months to 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a water treatment or wastewater management environment.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to outdoor and sometimes inclement weather.
  • May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in areas with hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (occasionally 60 pounds) distances of 10 feet.
