Job Title: Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our Family Advocacy Program, you will play a critical role in providing support and resources to victims of domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 24/7 response to victims of domestic abuse, offering confidential and non-clinical emergent and urgent services.
  • Establish and maintain a Victim's Safety Plan, prioritizing the victim's safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Family Advocacy Treatment Manager and Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist to ensure continuity of care.
  • Develop and maintain a contact file for each victim, documenting their contact information and service provided.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of installation DA policies and protocols.
  • Support the Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist in promoting education about and prevention of domestic abuse.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Counseling, or Behavioral Science.
  • Minimum two years of experience assisting and providing advocacy services to victims of domestic abuse or sexual assault.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Advocate credential with designation of Comprehensive Intervention Specialist.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
