Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team. As a Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate, you will provide critical support and services to victims of domestic abuse, empowering them to take control of their lives and make informed decisions about their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 response to victims of domestic abuse, offering a safe and confidential space to share their experiences and concerns.
  • Develop and implement personalized safety plans to ensure the victim's safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with treatment managers, intervention specialists, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Provide education and resources to victims on their rights, options, and available services.
  • Assist victims in accessing medical attention, counseling, and other necessary services.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of victim interactions and services provided.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in domestic abuse advocacy or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain Basic Advocate credential with Comprehensive Intervention Specialist designation.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
