Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Solo to join our team. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods across the country
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with a valid endorsement for the type of cargo being hauled
  • At least 9 months of experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits

  • Weekly guarantee of $1155
  • Solo miles pay: $0.48 per mile with 2500 miles per week
  • Solo stops pay: $12.00 per stop with stops per week
  • Drop and hook pay: $6.00 per drop/hook
  • Sign-on bonus: $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Shutdown bonus: $2000 in 2 installments in the first year
  • Safety bonus: up to $250 quarterly if applicable
