Job Summary:
The Mathematics Education Specialist will be responsible for providing coaching and support to teachers on best practices in mathematics instruction. This includes developing and delivering professional development opportunities, observing and assessing teacher instruction, and providing feedback to improve teaching practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to support teachers in improving their instructional practices
- Provide ongoing support and resources to teachers to help them meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate with other school staff to develop and implement curriculum changes that promote student achievement
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in mathematics education and share this knowledge with colleagues
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, education, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as a mathematics teacher or education specialist
- Strong coaching and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively with teachers and other stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and students
Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
